Festival della Valle d’Itria: Ecuba

On July 30 Carmela Remigio will make her debut in the title role of Nicola Antonio Manfroce’s Ecuba at the Festival della Valle d’Itria (Martina Franca). Manfroce, great promise of the Italian musical scene at the beginning of the XVIIIth century, died when he was 22-year old only. Ecuba is one of the few works written by the young composer and his masterpiece.

Alongside Carmela Remigio will be Norman Reinhardt (Achille), Mert Süngü (Priamo), Roberta Mantegna (Polissena) and Martina Gresia (Teona).

Fabio Luisi will be conducting; the staging is realized by Pier Luigi Pizzi.
